Quality
Intercast approaches quality as part of the manufacturing process, not as a final inspection step. Customer requirements, process control, inspection and verification are incorporated throughout development and production.
Quality System
Every component begins with understanding the customer's drawing, specifications, quality requirements and critical characteristics.
Intercast uses documented manufacturing and inspection processes to help ensure requirements are understood, monitored and verified throughout the production cycle.
Our quality approach supports consistent manufacturing, continuous improvement and the documentation required by customer and industry expectations.
Certifications
Intercast maintains quality management certifications that support customers in demanding industrial and aerospace markets.
AS9100D certification supports Intercast's quality management system for aerospace and other demanding applications.
Download CertificateISO 9001:2015 certification reflects Intercast's commitment to a documented quality management system and consistent manufacturing processes.
Download CertificateInspection & Testing
Inspection and testing requirements vary by component, customer and application. Intercast incorporates the required verification activities into the manufacturing plan for each project.
Available inspection resources include in-house capabilities as well as externally coordinated testing when required by specification or customer requirements.
Used to evaluate surface-breaking discontinuities on applicable components.
Used for applicable ferromagnetic components when required by the specification or inspection plan.
Radiographic inspection can be coordinated through external resources when required by the component or customer specification.
Process Control
Consistent quality depends on controlling the manufacturing process as well as inspecting the finished component.
Intercast monitors process requirements throughout production and applies inspection and verification activities based on the characteristics that matter to the customer and the application.
Traceability & Documentation
Depending on the component and program, manufacturing and quality records can be maintained to support customer, specification and traceability requirements.
Documentation requirements are reviewed as part of the project so that the appropriate inspection, process and quality records can be incorporated into the manufacturing plan.
Industry Membership
Intercast is a member of the Investment Casting Institute, supporting its continued connection to the investment casting industry and its technical community.
Project Quality
Quality planning begins with understanding the component, its application and the requirements that must be controlled and verified. Our team works with customers early in the project to identify those requirements and incorporate them into the manufacturing process.
